Life-threatening surf generated by Hurricane Lane will impact south facing shores of the smaller islands and the west facing shores of the Big Island through Saturday morning. Strengthening winds will bring large disorganized breakers to east facing shores through Saturday. Observations from Honolulu Harbor show water levels running about 0.5 ft above the predicted tide levels. Significant overwash along low-lying coastal areas and road ways will be possible, especially during the high tide this afternoon.
