...THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM HST FOR THE
ISLAND OF OAHU IN HONOLULU COUNTY...

At 405 PM HST...radar indicated that showers over leeward and 
southeast Oahu were gradually diminishing in coverage and weakening. 
Rainfall rates were about one inch per hour in the heaviest showers, 
leading to localized ponding of water, especially along the leeward 
coast. 

Locations in the advisory include but are not limited to... 

Waianae, Makaha, Makua, Nanakuli as well as Kailua, Waimanalo, and 
Kaneohe.  


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to
flooding.

Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions due
to ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action.

Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle, or on
foot. Turn around, don't drown.
