The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a

* Flood advisory for...
  The island of Oahu in Honolulu County

* Until 300 PM HST

* At 1159 AM HST, radar and rain gages indicated heavy rain over the 
  entire windward side of Oahu, with rain falling at rates near two 
  inches per hour. Several inches of rain have already fallen in 
  this area since yesterday, and ponding of water along area 
  roadways is likely.  

* Locations in the advisory include but are not limited to...
  Hauula, Waimanalo, Kaneohe Marine Base, Laie, Kahaluu, Hauula, 
  Waikane, Kailua, Ahuimanu and Punaluu.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to
flooding.

Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions due
to ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action.

Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle, or on
foot. Turn around, don't drown.

This advisory may need to be extended beyond 300 PM HST if heavy rain
persists.

A Flash Flood Watch is also in effect.
